During her years at the popular watering hole, where drinks are cheap and the doors never closed, Brigham developed a reputation as a tough-as-nails manager who didn't tolerate cursing or other activity she deemed inappropriate.
Brigham sold her interest in The Club Ms. Mae's, located at 4336 Magazine St., to building owner Gerry Archer in 2010.
In August 2011, Playboy magazine listed Ms. Mae's among the country's best late-night bars, citing the cheap drinks and 24-hour schedule.
A Mass is planned for Wednesday, March 21, at 1 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Boys Hope/Girls Hope, P.O. Box 4414, Baton Rouge, LA 70821-4414. To view and sign the family guest book, visit www.lakelawnmetairie.com
