New Orleans, the land of dreams

I heard trumpter Leroy Jones interviewed on WWOZ the other day. Leroy has been called "the keeper of the flame" for traditional New Orleans jazz.

He plays the music of Louis Armstrong, Buddy Bolden, Danny Barker, putting his own spin on classic tunes.

A regular at  Preservation Hall, Leroy regularly performs with the Harry Connick Orchestra, touring the country.

He's written a new single, I'm Talkin' Bout New Orleans, that captivates the "city of dreams."
