We may not be Portland, Seattle or San Francisco, but Travel + Leisure places New Orleans just behind those bohemian cities as one of the country's hipster havens in a recent ranking.
The city ranked No. 4 on the travel magazine's list of "America's Best Cities for Hipsters."
"The Crescent City has a legendary cafe culture and a rich music and arts scene," the magazine says. "The newest version of hipster bohemians are found in the Marigny area, a historic neighborhood with colorful architecture and good spots to sample the city's top-ranking bar scene, such as the Hi-Ho Lounge and Mimi's in the Marigny."
