They all snoozed for you

photos by Eliot Kamenitz, Times-Picayune

I went on up to the Audubon Zoo
And they only asked for you
They all asked for you
Well, even inquired about you
I went on up to the Audu'mon Zoo
And they all asked for you
The monkeys asked
The tigers asked
And the elephant asked f'you too
Add caption
They all asked for you
'Yo brother'
'Sister'
Everybody there
Wanna know where
'Cousin'
They all asked for you
'You know what?'
They all asked for you
'Yo gramma'
They all asked for you
'Yo grampa'

Everybody there
'Your niece'
Wanna know where
'Nephew'
They all asked for you
'Yo neighbor'

Baby orangutan at Audubon Zoo.

I sometimes feel like this!
Menari, an endangered Sumatran orangutan, was born June 10 in the nursery at the Audubon Zoo. She was cared for by humans at the Tulane Medical Center Animal Health Care Center at the zoo until her first-time mom gained appropriate parenting skills.

She's not always this cranky, but if she has to wear diapers, what else can she do but protest? Menari can be viewed at 1 p.m. daily in the primate exhibit.
