I have spent a whole lot of time the past year, consulting with the I Ching. And it really does seem like being successful at anything always comes down to two things: PATIENCE and PERSISTENCE.
Warren Buffet was recently interviewed about his path to success and this is the list he compiled:
- Passion
- Drive
- Discipline
- Ability to ignore emotion
- Consistency
- Ability to learn from mistakes
- An element of luck
Buffet's list is really just an enhancement of Patience and Persistence with a little Luck thrown in for good measure. Personally, I don't agree with the lack of emotion because you need that, along with luck, for relationships.
So, now, try and tell me Drew Brees doesn't know about patience and persistence.
