Leafroller steamroller

This little guy or somebody who looks a lot like a Leafroller almost totally took out my beautiful, yellow hibiscus in one ill-fated evening.

He and a friend made their way from stem to stem, munching away at tender leaves and fragrant flowers, till almost the entire bush was bare.

Well, I showed them! I scooped the two culprits into a Mason jar and left them on the porch while making a mad dash to Green Parrot for insecticide.

As a rule, I honor life and don't impose my will over any living creature. But in this case, I was relentless.

I know we live in the tropics and are not really meant to survive in this clime. But we are here and there's not hibiscus for both of us!
